Miracles In NAIROBI, KENYA - Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott (NAIROBI, KENYA)

September 01, 2019

Jesus continues to be a miracle worker in my life, in my ministry.  In this article, I want to share with you the miracles that God has performed during my four-month missionary journey here in East Africa. I have been in the continent now since April 24th. Two years ago when I was talking to the Lord, I asked, “God, at 66 years seasoned, I have more years behind me than ahead of me. What would you have me do this second half of my life?” I know God’s voice and I heard him say, “Sell everything you have and go,’

THE FIRST MIRACLE:  TURNING WATER INTO WINE - by,Apost;e Dr Peggy Elliott

August 01, 2019

As we continue to look at the miracles Jesus performed, it becomes clear that there is a pattern in which they occur.  Each miracle has four components: 1. a setting, 2. a need arises, 3 a miracle addresses that need and 4. there is a response to that miracle.  The changing of water to wine is Jesus’ first public act in John, the first sign of God’s presence in the world through him.  While the miracle of changing water to wine begins in Chapter Two of John, let’s refresh our memory on what led up to ‘the third day.’

"The Miracles of Jesus: Relevant Today or Not?" -by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott

July 01, 2019

Though the miracles of Jesus were recorded more than 2000 years ago, are they relevant today? Some would argue that they were relevant then, but that because miracles today are rarely experienced and or discussed within the body of Christ, they are no longer relevant. I believe miracles are relevant for today.

New Testament miracles help us to understand who Jesus was and what he accomplished here on earth. Though Jesus has ascended to heaven and now sits on the right side of his (Acts 2:33) father, the miracles he performed while on earth, still impact us as Believers today.

"CAN MUSIC HEAL?" - by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott - St. Paul, Minnesota USA (now in NAIROBI, KENYA)

June 01, 2019

In this month's article, I will once again, stretch the readers understanding of the healing power of God - the diverse ways that God heals.  The question being answered this month is, can music heal?  Last month, a dear friend and psalmist, Minister Tammy Walker, graced the cover of Triumphant One. We had an opportunity to learn more about Minister Tammy and her love for music as a psalmist and worshipper in the featured article. This month, I present to you Minister Tammy's other half, Minister Adrian Walker. The Walker family is known nationally and internationally as God's prolific pianists and organists.  Adrian has four brothers, all of whom play the piano.  His brothers, plus Adrian and his dad, have blessed many during concerts with all of them on pianos.

JESUS HEALS MOTHER'S-IN-LAWS TOO - by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott St. Paul,MN USA (c)

May 01, 2019

.When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.   [Matthew 8:14]

I love hearing stories of the wonderful relationships between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law.  We have all heard the saying, “If Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”  I believe this applies to mothers-in-law, also. A mother plays a significant role in the emotional stability of her home.  If she is constantly stressed out or experiences some type of trauma without healing taking place, the atmosphere of the house becomes a difficult one to bear.

THE MINISTRY IS IN THE PREPARATION - by Apostle Dr.Peggy Elliott (c) March 1st, 2019

GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN? HEAVEN IS STILL OPEN - by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott (c) March 1st, 2019

March 01, 2019

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, "plans not to bring you hope and not to harm you."

On January 25, the New York Times stated that the government shutdown was the longest in American history. The shutdown ended that Friday, after 34 full days of being shutdown.  The article went on to say that it exceeded the previous record, under President Bill Clinton in 1995, of 21 days.

I was concerned, after hearing report after report, the numbers of government employees whose families began struggling financially, due to the shut down.

Without knowing of an impending disaster on the horizon, most families impacted by the shutdown. It was reported  that these families had the necessary supplies needed to survive for at least one full week. But, when the shutdown continued, day after day, food shortage for many of the over 80,000 employees affected by the shutdown, began to run low. Without a paycheck, how were they to eat?

Restaurants and commercial kitchens began providing hot meals and bagged lunches. Actors and actresses, football owners and players, rappers, and many others, began donating food items, feeding individuals and families. What a blessing!

The difficulty was in not knowing when the shutdown was going to end. No one knew, not even the President of the United States, who ordered the shutdown. Instead of focusing on the reasons the government shutdown occurred,  I will focus on how the body of Christ is to be readied for disaster.

"Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without telling his servants, the prophets." Amos 3:7.    When the prophets and watchmen are functioning appropriately, the body of Christ would spend less time being on the defense against the enemy.

WELCOME HOME! -by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott (c) February 2019

February 01, 2019

Bright smiles! Warm hugs! Love straight from the heart. Each greeter warmly greeted me at the airport by saying, “Welcome home! Welcome to Africa. “ In September of last year, I traveled for my first time to Nairobi, Kenya, on a missionary assignment. In the early 90’s, I traveled as a missionary to Haiti, Argentina and South Africa, and when my feet touched the ground at the airport in Durban, South Africa for the first time, I heard myself say, “I’m home,” and I was. I believe that every American needs to visit Africa at least once, particularly every African American.

"A WORD FROM THE LORD FOR 2019" - by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott - St. Paul, Minnesota USA

January 01, 2019

"The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”  Daniel 11:32 NKJV
It is amazing to know that we have made it through 2018, ready for a new year in the Lord. Many years ago, I made the decision to stop establishing New Year's resolutions and decided instead to  ask God for direction for the new year. I also have been reading other words God has given prophets for this upcoming year.  I will share both the answer to my prayer regarding 2019 and a word from another prophet, Loreili Cooley for 2019.

"MY HOW TIME FLIES! WE'VE COME TO THE END OF THE YEAR" ~by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott

December 01, 2018

.My, how time flies! We are almost at the end of 2018. God has kept us another year and I say, “Thank you, Lord.” Before the year is over, many Triumphant Ones readers will take time to reflect on the past year, taking stock of what was and was not accomplished and then set new goals for 2019. In this last Healing and Miracles article, I will reflect on the past year, by reposting each article's first paragraph. I hope you will take time to revisit these articles. I re-read them and gained an insight that I had not seen before. May God continue to bless and keep you as you go into a new year. Please don't forget to pray for our country. I am a optimist that this country will come to its knees and then Jesus will return. Come, Lord Jesus.

"CAN A NATION BE HEALED?" (Pt.2) ~by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott -St.Paul, MN USA (c) November 2018

November 01, 2018

During the last two weeks of September and the first week of October, I  had the wonderful priviledge to travel and live in Nairobi,  Kenya and Accra, Ghana.  During my stay in Nairobi, I  stayed at a 'homestay', which Americans would call an Airbnb. A husband and wife, Peter and Norah were my homestay mates. Peter's laugh was infectuous and Nora's cooking of Kenyan food was delicious. As we were getting to know one another, I  decided to ask these current residents of the U.K., who are Kenyan natives, if they believed  the U.K. and Kenyan needed healing as and if so. could be healed? Both are very strong, seasoned Believers.

"CAN NATIONS BE HEALED?" (Pt.1) - by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott (c) October 2018

October 01, 2018

“...on each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing 12 crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month.  And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”  Revelation 22:2

Over the past few months, I have challenged those who read my monthly column, to think about healing in unconventional ways:  healing on the streets and the healing of a total congregation, for examples. This month, I want to challenge you to consider healing again in an unconventional way – the healing of nations.  Can a nation be healed?  Let’s keep in mind that the only reason for something or someone to need healing is due to sickness, sometimes sickness leads to death.

“Taking Healing To The Streets!”   ~ by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott ©  August 1st, 2018

August 01, 2018

In last month’s article, I asked you to stretch the definition of healing to include overtaking territorial spirits by organizing Joshua armies. This month, I am asking you to think of the definition of healing to include healing on the streets.

Jesus taught in the synagogue, yet, most of healing he performed was with people outside of the four walls of the church.  Jesus healed out on the streets, in villages or in the homes of those in need.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF HEALING : JOSHUA ARMIES RISE UP! -by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott

July 01, 2018

When I hear the word ‘healing,’ I automatically think of someone being healed physically or emotionally.  In this article, I would like to broaden the definition of healing to include the healing of communities.  Daily, local news reports throughout the country, capture our attention as we listen to how crime is increasing in many communities.  We also, hear of the increase in gun and domestic violence.  The deaths of innocent children are increasing.  What has happened in far too many of our communities whereby crime and death seem to now be the order of the day?  Gone are the days of children innocently playing down the street and not having to come home until it starts getting dark.  Gone are the days of two guys having a beef and ending it with just a loud argument or a fist fight.  It has now become the norm for students and teachers to mandatorily practice what to do, if a student turned gunman, riddles classrooms and hallways with rounds of bullets, killing many.

JUNE ARTICLE: WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN? WE NEED A MIRACLE - by Dr. Peggy Elliott

June 01, 2018

“My people are destroyed from the lack of knowledge.  Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of God, I also will ignore your children.”  Hosea 4:6

In 1999, just days after the Columbine High School murders, I was listening to a national Christian radio talk show host and child psychologist, Dr. Chuck Swindoll, give a prophetic word.  He said, “Regarding mass school shootings, they will not decrease in America.  This type of violence, students going into schools and killing teachers and fellow students, is only going to increase.” That prophetic word was released nineteen years ago. Much to our dismay, it has come true.  School shootings have significantly increased throughout America.

MAY ARTICLE INNER HEALING AND MENTAL HEALTH BY DR. PEGGY ELLIOTT

May 01, 2018

"And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick."

Remember the movie The Miracle Worker, starring Patty Duke? I first saw the movie when I was a child.  Then, once again, as a teenager.  I cannot remember why, as an adult, I felt the need to view it a third time, but I did.  During the third watch, I found myself comparing the Nanny and Patty Duke with Jesus and how we deal with miracles within the body of Christ. I believe that far too many have low expectations for miracles.

APRIL ARTICLE INNER HEALING AND MENTAL HEALTH BY DR. PEGGY ELLIOTT

April 01, 2018

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me

Because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…  Isaiah 61:1-3

This scripture is the foundation for many ministries.  When broken down, it becomes evident that the three types of ministry included in Isaiah, ought to be a focal points of ministry offered to the body of Christ.

1.      …the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  This is evangelism

2.      He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted… This is inner healing (emotional and mental health)

3.      …to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…This is deliverance ministry

MARCH 2018 HEALING & MIRACLES ARTICLE ~by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott

I AM A MIRACLE CREATED FOR HIS KINGDOM!

Dr. Mary Jo Winston is a mighty woman of God.  By all stretches of one’s imagination, she should not be alive, nor in her right mind.  Yet, what the enemy thought he was going to do to bring utter destruction to her life, God had other plans for Mary Jo.  She is currently a pastor in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Purpose for Life Worship and Outreach Center. Along with pastoring, Dr. Mary Jo has a food and clothing street ministry and a ministry to set women free from spiritual, emotional and physical bondage, titled Bridges of Hope Leadership Academy. She has been working for his kingdom for more than four decades.  Her story will move you to understand the healing, saving and redeeming power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

HEALING AND MIRACLES

The Synoptic Gospels are filled with example after example of the healing power of Jesus Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit.  Over forty examples of Jesus’ miracle healings are recorded in these books. Matthew includes many proof texts to drive home the theme of Jesus as the healer. Take a journey with me as we examine three examples of the healing miracles Jesus performed:  the man with leprosy, Peter’s mother-in-law, and two blind men. We will examine who asked for the healing, what were the circumstances of the healing, what methods did Jesus use to heal, and in what timing did the healing occur?

INNER HEALING . . . PART II by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott - Minneapolis, MN

January 01, 2018

At the Tree of Life Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, God continues to move within our midst as we implement the ministry of inner healing.  This month’s article completes the series titled, “A Congregation Receives Inner Healing.” Yes, a total congregation is experiencing something so rare, yet so needed today. My Pastor of Tree of Life Church, Warren S. Carey, charged me with taking the congregation through the processes of understanding the biblical basis for inner healing.  He also wanted to ensure that the congregation learned the difference between inner healing and deliverance ministry. Inner healing one-on-one sessions are available to those who choose to receive this healing in their lives.    READ MORE >>>

A CONGREGATION RECEIVES INNER HEALING - by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott

December 03, 2017

Last month, I shared with you that in the months of December and January, I am going to interview my Pastor, Warren Carey of Tree of Life Church, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Pastor Carey is implementing something within the church that quite frankly, I have never heard a pastor do.  He has decided that the whole church should become educated on the ministry of inner healing as a body, during regular Sunday services.  Pastor Carey has set aside the third Sunday of every month as inner healing Sunday.  This is a miracle!

When Pastor approached me, asking me to take the congregation through inner healing, so that they would understand its purpose, understand the process, and understand the differences between inner healing and deliverance ministry, I was excited!  I have been used by God in the areas of both inner healing and deliverance for over forty years and have never heard such a request.  It is exciting to watch the positive shifts taking place within Tree of Life, within individuals and families. God is on the move.

SPIRITUAL ABUSE IN THE CHURCH - by Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott

November 01, 2017

HEALING AND MIRACLES

SPIRITUAL ABUSE IN THE CHURCH

In last month’s column I wrote an article about the gifts of healing, including physical, emotional and a third type which is healing from spiritual abuse. While we continue to desire that God will miraculously heal those in need physically and emotionally, we must also ask God to heal individuals who have been deeply wounded by those practicing spiritual abuse. In this article, I will spell out the definition of spiritual abuse, giving specific indicators of the behavior, and end it with ways in which someone who has been the victim of spiritual abuse can receive healing.

WHAT IS SPIRITUAL ABUSE?

Spiritual abuse is when a minister (male or female) in authority (the perpetrator), uses their authority to manipulate and control another person (the victim).  Shame is often used as the primary tool to maintain control over the victim. Spiritual abuse is often administered under the guise of religion, it is the misuse of power and control. What I have just described is how an individual person perpetuates spiritual abuse.  Spiritual abuse often is systematic, focusing on manipulation and control. Systematic spiritual abuse is seen in churches where the needs of the people are not getting met, but the needs of the leadership is.  The systems within this type of church impact many of the congregants.   Systematic spiritual abuse ensures that the leader is getting his or her personal needs met and feels great fulfillment.  This type of leadership is prideful, egotistical, and arrogant and the person who is spiritually abusive dominates, subordinates or silences other individuals.

THE MANIFESTATION GIFTS OF HEALING ~ by Dr, Peggy Elliott | St. Paul, MN

The Manifestation Gifts Of Healing

HEALING AND MIRACLES | By Apostle Dr. Peggy Elliott

 1 Corinthians 12:4 (KJV)

“Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.  And there are different kinds of administration, but the same Lord.  And there are differences of operation, but it is God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.  For to one is given by the Spirit a gift of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same spirit; to another faith by the same spirit; to another gifts of healing by the same spirit; to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another different tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues."

For a foundational understanding of Healing and Miracles, let’s begin with looking at the Manifestation Gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts demonstrate God’s Supernatural Power in the life of a Believer. Manifestation gifts are one category of Spiritual gifts recorded in the Word of God. These gifts represent the work God does through the life of a Believer in each situation to demonstrate His supernatural power.

Each of the Nine Manifestation Gifts of the Holy Spirit  are singular in nature, except one.  The gifts of healing are the only plural manifestation gifts.  While 1 Corinthians12  does not provide the reader with detailed descriptions of what encompasses the gifts of healing, in  my experience in providing inner healing and deliverance ministry, I have discovered three different areas in a person’s life that may require healing.

Physical Healing. Physical healing is the Supernatural Power of God given to a Believer to be used by Him, to bring healing to a physical medical condition.  I believe that all sickness has a spiritual root. I will discuss this more in next month’s column.

Emotional Healing. Such emotions as depression, grief, fear, and unforgiveness, are emotional wounds that can only be healed by the Power of God.  A broken heart caused by a marital breakup, is an example of emotional healing.  Only Jesus, and the Power of the Holy Spirit, can heal this deep pain. While medication is often prescribed by doctors for those experiencing such wounds, the medication is often prescribed to deal with the only the symptoms of the emotions, not the root problem which caused the symptom.  While I thank God for doctors and medicine, only the Supernatural Power of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit can bring revelation and healing as to the root cause or causes of emotional wounds.

Healing From Spiritual Abuse.  Spiritual abuse occurs when someone in a position of power or authority within the church, uses their position to manipulate someone of lesser power, into doing something that will benefit the abuser, but causes great pain to the one being controlled.  An example is a pastor who uses his or her position of authority to cause someone of the opposite gender to perform sexual favors, if they want to keep their position within the church. Another example of spiritual abuse is when a church member discloses very personal information to one of authority with the promise that the information shared will be disclosed to no one, only to learn that the information has been disclosed publicly, sometimes through the preaching of the Word from the pulpit.

Over the next few months, I will expound on each of these types of healing, along with writing testimonies of those who have been emotionally and physically miraculously healed. If you have questions you would like for me to address, please feel free to contact me at elliottministries@gmail.com I would like to hear your comments concerning this column.

Be healed, in the name of Jesus!

THEY DIDN’T HAVE TO ACCEPT THE ASSIGNMENT

by Apostle Dr.  Peggy Elliott  (c)(p) July 24th, 2017

I had been coughing for a week before I went to see the doctor, who diagnosed my symptoms as adult-onset asthma. I was given an inhaler and a breathing machine.  The cough was expected to clear up within a matter of days.  Instead of clearing up, it quickly became worse. Now when I coughed, I would almost fainted.. Nothing brought consistent relief.

“Dr. Elliott, I’m taking you to the hospital.  Something is wrong.  Your cough is not getting any better.  It’s getting worse. Let me please take you to the doctor, “ LaPorsha pleaded.  I was her mentor and we were having our weekly meeting at my home.   I remember coughing and stumbling over the TV which set on the floor and then I remember a line of questions.

“What’s your name?”

“I don’t know, “ I sobbed.

“Do you know where you are?  Do you know what day of the week it is?  Do you know the city you are in?’ asked this strange voice.

“No.  Yes.  I’m at home in St. Paul and it’s Monday night, “

I squeaked out these words  in-between a flood of continuous tears and horrific pain.    (read more)

When I was 49 years old, my 4 kids were grown and gone.. I was at a conference in Charlotte, NC, and this man walks right up to me and says he has a Word from the Lord for me! Ok.... He says "he sees me moving in my ministry with kids around me..that I was raising kids with calls of God on their lives.." I laughed.. Okay...    A few days later.. In a meeting.. A prophet prays for me and says "he sees my garden blooming.." I would no longer be barren!

The Matters Of Our Hearing | Apostle De-Borah Champion - Cincinnati, OH

March 23, 2017

MATTERS OF OUR HEARING

JOHN 11:32-47

32) Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
33 ) When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.
34 ) And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
35 )Jesus wept.
36 ) Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
37) And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
38 ) Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39) Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40 )Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41) Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42) And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43) And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44) And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
45) Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
46) But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.
47 )Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles
. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This Dialogue starts off in a the town of Bethany (Western Bank of Al-Eizariya -1.5 miles east of Jerusalem on the south-eastern slope of the Mount of Olives)  where 2 sisters Mary, Martha and their brother Lazarus dwelt.

A Message is sent to Jesus that Lazarus is very ill and Jesus responds that this illness is not unto death, but that He may get the glory. Jesus stays where He is for a couple of days in spite of Lazarus condition and says to His disciples "let's go to Judea." The Disciples are like huh and they respond..."Master, just a few days ago their Leaders tried to kill you. Jesus responds, "there are 12 hours of daylight in a day and every hour of it man can walk safety and not stumble, only at night is there danger of a wrong step." Jesus states to them that there's really no need for alarm; Lazarus is only asleep and I'll go and awaken him. Now the disciples are a bit confused because they interpreted that Jesus meant that Lazarus was asleep in bed, but Jesus informs them that Lazarus is actually dead and let's them know that He's glad He did not immediately respond when He got the news so that they would have another opportunity to exercise their faith and believe in Him.  Thomas in his senselessness responds in v. 16, "let's go die with him."  SMH .... Just straight Bipolar.

So Jesus arrives at Bethany and  by this time Lazarus has been deceased for 4 days. As. Jewish leaders come to console Mary and Martha, Martha hears about Jesus coming, but Mary stays at home.
Martha says these words to Jesus, "Sir if you had been here, my brother wouldn't have died and I know that it's not too late and God would raise him, if you just ask Him."  Jesus responds to Martha, " your brother will come back to life again."
Martha did not comprehend and she responds, yes, I'm aware that he  will when everyone else does on the resurrection day.  Jesus corrects her by letting her know that it is "He who raises the dead, anyone who believes in me even though he dies, like anyone else, he will live again." Jesus informs Martha that we are given eternal life for believing in Him and shall never perish and ask her this question: Do you believe Martha? Martha responds to The Savior and says "Yes Master. I believe you are the Messiah, the Son of God that we been longing for."

As Martha exits, she returns returns to Mary to let her know that Jesus wants to see her.  Mary goes and approach Jesus outside  of the village where he met Martha.  Jewish leaders observe Mary leaving and they follow her.  Mary arrives where Jesus was, fell at his feet, and says; "Sir, If you had been hear my brother would still be alive." When Jesus sees her weeping and Jewish folk wailing with her; He is moved with indignation and He's deeply troubled. Jesus says, "Where is He buried?" They respond  to Jesus and say, "come and see." With tears in His eyes, Jesus wept.  When Leaders saw the emotion that fell from Jesus eyes, they spoke these words from their lips; "see how He loved him.' As with any event or incident, there's always the Nay sayers standing around and they said: "If He healed a blind man, He couldn't keep Lazarus from dying."  Jesus being moved with anger again said to them; "move the stone aside." Martha says to Jesus. "it's been four days and by now He smells horrified." Jesus looks into the heavens and begins to thank and petition God. As He prays, He begins to give God glory for what was about to happen: "Father thank you for hearing me, but because these people are standing here, show them that you sent me." Jesus calls Lazarus to come forth and Lazarus comes forth, but Houston, we have a serious problem: Lazarus is still bound! What was Lazarus bound with? He was still wearing his grave clothes. And it it sad to say that this is happening in this hour that many have resurrected from certain graves of life, but are still walking around wearing the grave clothes, but that's a whole other issue.  When Jesus saw that Lazarus was still in his grave clothes, He spoke to the  graves clothes a said; "loose him and let him go."

Here is a serious issue: THE CLOTHES.... As I pondered on this text, I began to get revelation on a serious issue today in the Body, and that is our ability to spiritually hear so I had to take a look at  THE ANATOMY OF THE HUMAN EAR.

The Ear - That instrument of the human body that detects sound in the environment and delivers it to the brain. Not only doers it detect sound but plays a major role in maintaining proper balance and position of the body.

*There are 9 Major parts to the human ear....

1) The Pinna - locates sound sources and directs sound into the ear.
2) The Ear Canal - a tube-like pipeline that connects outside from the ear to eardrum.
3) The Eardrum - the middle of the ear that vibrates when receiving sound waves.
4) The Hammer - receives vibrations from the hear drum and sends them to the anvil.
5) The Anvil -passes vibrations to the stirrup.
6) The Stirrup-pass vibrations to the inner ear.

THE INNER EAR CONSIST OF:

7) The Cochlea - a liquid shell-like structure responsible for balance.
8) The Eustachian tube - controls the amount of pressure in the ear.
9) The Auditory nerve -  carries the sound to the brain, and it's the brain that interprets the sound.

NOW - If Lazarus clothes, the bandages and the napkin on his face, who have no DNA STRUCTURE, no pinna, no ear canal nor ear drum, no hammer, anvil, nor stirrup, no cochlea, no Eustachian tube, nor auditory canal could hear THE VOICE of Jesus and OBEY His Voice, then what is the matter with The Body. There is a serious matter in our hearing. It is strange that we can hear everything thing about everybody and their mama on Social Media but we can't hear when there is a terrorist in our City. How can bandages hear the voice of Jesus and we can't spiritually hear when terrorists are plotting against our schools and churches? Where is the Prophet in that City and why aren't they on the wall. How can bandages hear and we can't hear God telling us to dismantle certain foods from our diets that we may become healthier vessels? How is it that we can hear a prophetic word concerning the direction our Leader should go with their Ministry, but we can't hear a prophetic word on how to come off of 10, 15, and 20 pills a day.  When bandages can hear Jesus, and The Body can't; Yes Saints, there is truly a Matter of Our Hearing. Pray and ask God to sharpen our hearing.

How to Hear God's Voice

She had done it again! Instead of coming straight home from school like she was supposed to, she had gone to her friend’s house. Without permission. Without our knowledge. Without doing her chores.

With a ministering household that included remnants of three struggling families plus our own toddler and newborn, my wife simply couldn’t handle all the work on her own. Everyone had to pull their own weight. Everyone had age-appropriate tasks they were expected to complete. At fourteen, Rachel and her younger brother were living with us while her parents tried to overcome lifestyle patterns that had resulted in the children running away to escape the dysfunction. I felt sorry for Rachel, but, honestly my wife was my greatest concern.

Now Rachel had ditched her chores to spend time with her friends. It wasn’t the first time, but if I had anything to say about it, it would be the last. I intended to lay down the law when she got home and make it very clear that if she was going to live under my roof, she would obey my rules.
